The percentage for the police department I work for was 92%. Have no idea what your area is.

Actually cops know who killed someone the majority of the time. The problem is putting together a strong enough case to present to a judge and jury. Everybody knows O.J. did it, but they could not convict him.

Well the bodies can decompose quicker. In some areas you can tie hams to the bodies and get the gators to take 'em. It's much harder to make a case without a body.
