I know drug dogs can smell areas where drugs such as cocaine were at up to two weeks after it has been removed? is this true with other substances as well?

I think so...they are very trained for this and marijuana has a very stronger smell than cocaine

it is a learned response, they can smell it no matter how long ago they were trained, but if not reinforced for the signaling behavior they could quit "hitting" when they make the scent
