I would guess that it's mainly your look. Certain girls go for guys with long hair, others guys with short hair, different types of clothes, even the type of voice a person has seems to regulate what types of people might like them. Mayby you need to alter your style a bit.

maybe you just attact the emo girls. If you a certain girl then find out what they like and dont like and try to approch one and get them talking see where it leads.
