its rude and its dangerous and i will slow down just a little more to either get my point across or in hopes they will just pass. road rage is such crap. we all need to learn patience and compassion for our fellow human beings. it would make this world a better place for us and our children.

Yes I consider it extremely rude to tailgate someone even if they are going 5 miles under the speed limit. There are mulitple lane roads for a reason. It has also caused more accidents than all other incidents combined. When I was in high school my driver's ed teacher stated that if someone is tailing you to tap on your brakes. That is ridiculous and extremely dangerous. I witnessed 5 accidents on the freeway involving tailgating and braking on the freeway in the past two months alone. Just drive safely, if we all stop tailgating the person in front of us, the roads would be a lot safer for everyone.

It's rude, yes. And, it is very unsafe. If you are being tailgated, and you have to stop suddenly. The person behind you may end up running into you because they do not have enough room to stop.
If you are in the situation, and you are able to change lanes and let them pass you, then do so. But, yes, it is VERY rude.

yes, i consider tailgate as rude and dangerous act...normally accident occured on road because the driver tailgate too close behind and cannot control their car when some emergency happen in front, so they end up crash, boom ,bang...pity those who r trying to drive safely but end up like this.

Never had that problem you tail-gate me I have a huge mag lite shining in your eyes, believe me its more blinding. I do think it's rude for drivers to stay in front of someone for so long and not change lanes to let the person behind do the proper speed.

It's very dangerous. Allow yourself enough space to react just in case something comes up suddenly in front of you and let the person pass you.
It's not worth getting your dander up and all caught up in someone else's problem when you are driving. Playing games on the road is dangerous, the person is a bully -- let it go.

Yes it is very rude, and it can become unsafe. For people, like myself, whom have road rage it can get dangerous. Some people with really bad road rage could do something to the person that is tailgating them...even hurt that person.
For myself not to get mad....i try to keep my distance from people. Sometimes by doing so, people tailgate me....because i don't tailgate others.

Yes its very rude and it annoys me to no end.
But i also have to admitt that i've done it myself a few times when i'm in a real rush to get somewhere and the driver infront is happily cruising at 20km under the speed limit.

It's worse than rude; it's aggressive and provocative (that is, it invites confrontation).
It's a deplorable action, and people who do it should grow up and quit it this minute. Someday, they might have to buy someone a new car for piling into someone's rear end.
