I am in a new relationship with a guy whom I have known for 9 years. I like him but he is a little bit shy around me now what should I do to get us to have a more open and talkative relationship?

Give him a little more time, if you've known him for 9 years a little more time isn't going to hurt anyone. If the relationship doesn't start growing after a few more months or so in the way that you both want it to, try to just be friends and move on.I don't know how old you are, but life is too short to invest years in a relationship if it's not going anywhere.

Some guys just take a while to open up. He's probably uncomfortable because you've known him for so long, but yet you dont really KNOW each other! Give him a little bit of time. Also, you could ask him some questions about himself and what he likes and he may slowly start opening up. Then again, it could be 'what you see is what you get' and you'll have to decide if you want to be with someone who isn't very talkative!

Hang out with other people together. Being alone together as a new couple can be a little awkward. But if you're surrounded by friends it's not so bad. Have a "game night." Pull out some board games, order a pizza and have some friends over. Try it out and see how it goes! Good luck!!

all u need to do is have a simple and short convorstation. maybe talk about something he likes so he is involved it in. it might help him open up to you more and also take away the shyness.

Laugh alot and keep talking.. The more you open up to him he will open up to you. Re-enforce the fact you are not judgemental, your equal to every one and so on that may help.

Keep talking to him, find out what interests him, and talk about that or learn about it so you can communicate about it. The more you can relate the better.

you should talk 2 each other like friends so u and him will feel comfortable around each other.
