I just started this diet 4 days ago. My diet consists of lean beef, egg whites, chicken breast, some cheese now and again and lots of Fruits and Veggies and I only drink water. I'm taking baby steps when it comes to excerise. I have a hard time believing that I actally lost that much in so little time. LOL my excerise consist of (so far) 10 mintues on the excerise bike but I do it as fast and hard as I can (aka ball to the wall) and 30 situps. I'm going gradually increase this because I know it's not enough. I've heard alot of talk about it just being water weight but how can that be if I drink 2 L a day of water?

I have to go away Saturday to my grandparents farm. So I'll be treating myself to some good old farm cooked meals. Don't worry, I'll keep it to small portions. Also, I gave up beer so that might be helping also and stop smoking weed so I don't get the munchies anymore.

There's also one more thing you have to do in order to be successful. If you crave a cheeseburger or a candy bar don't deprive yourself by not eating because it's going to backfire after a couple of weeks and you're going to start binge eating. Instead, go to your favorite burger joint and order your favorite burger without mayo and only one slice of cheese. Or if you like everything on it just eat half of it and throw the rest away. Do this once in a while so you don't go crazy and think you failed because you ate all that food.

I think that "water weight" is a loose term. You probably should research on what the first week's big losses actual cause is. Anyway, you are doing great! It will slow down, but, don't let that get you down. I am happy if I lose one pound a week, and if more come off, so much the better!!
