The check looks good I dident call the bank yet .But if they cancel the check or if its a fake when will the bank know or when will they charge the money back...The check has to clear before i send the object to him.

It used to take longer for an out of state check to clear, but not since the new banking regulations. All checks are cleared electronically, and it only takes about a day for any check.

usually 5 days i use to work in a bank but calling and making sure the funds are in the account before depositing it is a smart thing to do with all the costs that would come with a bounced check these days.

about 7 working days. Yes they can detect if the check is counterfeit or forged
