I'd like to find a program that is totally compatible with power point and is not just a demo. Please help.

I take it that you do not have MS Powerpoint on your computer. I believe that either Cnet.com or microsoft.com has a free powerpoint reader for download.

OpenOffice.org has a suite of programs that are similar to the Microsoft Office suite. OOo as it is called has Writer for MS Word, Calc for Excel and Impress for PowerPoint. It is open source based and therefore released under the GNU license and free to download. It should accomplish what you need. See reference site.

you can download a powerpoint viewer, you just wont be able to edit any of the slides. But if it's for a midterm, I'd would just go to cnet.com and download the viewer so you can read the notes.
