I currently have 9 dogs and 2 horses. I love all animals and would have a million more if I had the time to spend with them. I love animals because they don't judge like people do, and they love you unconditionally. Well, here goes:

Symba: 3 year old Rottie from my first litter; goes everywhere with me. I have to spell "B-Y-E B-Y-E" cuz if I even whisper it, I HAVE to take him. He's attached to me at the hip. He weighs 100 pounds but swears he only weighs 10... he thinks he's a lap dog.

Nala: Symba's sister from same litter; goes everywhere with me. I call her my ADD dog cuz she can't pay attention too long. Oh, these 2 were obviously named after one of my fave movies... Lion King.

Beltan: Rottie from my 5th and most recent litter, last April. Her registered name is actually "BEtter Late ThAn Never" (shortened to Beltan). I named her that cuz she was born 16 hours after the 8th puppy in the litter. I had to bottle feed her from the day she was born... she thinks I'm her mom.

Brazos: He is Beltan's brother from the same litter. We sold him, but the new owners had family problems and asked if we could take him back... I'm so glad we did. He is a wonderful dog... and HUGE!! at 6 1/2 months he wieghed 77 pounds (Beltan only weighed 60 then)... I haven't weighed them lately, but he has already passed Symba in height and he's only 10 1/2 months old!

Jersey: This is my "mama dog". Actually she is my stepdaughter, Samantha's dog. She got her name becuase Sami got her about the time she started playing sports and wearing "jerseys". Also, Jers loves to play soccer, so i guess we should get her a jersey...hehe

Ringo: This is daddy. And he is actually my husband's dog. I call him block head cuz he has that huge square head. But he got his name from the movie Tombstone (my hubby's fave movie) and the character Johnny Ringo. He likes to run straight toward you and swing his butt around to hit you in the leg. He'll knock you down if you don't brace yourself. Almost 6 years old and still acts like a puppy.

Raider: She is out of my 3rd litter. She was our last puppy of the litter and I just couldn't part with her. She is named for Texas Tech Red Raiders... where I go to school. She's a little bitty thing (for a rottie) but she sure can fly. My husband says he wants to enter into a dog race. She loves to chase him on his dirt bike. Once she took off after a cow... that wasn't good :(

Charcoal: He is our only "non rott" (but still a big 'un... 65 pounds). This old man's been around almost as long as I've known my husband.... way before he became my husband! I adopted him from the shelter I worked at in August 1995. So, almost 12 years ago and we guessed he was about 2 years old then... he sure doesn't act like a 14 year old dog. This is what you call unconditional love! Oh, his name is for the big black spot on his side.

Angel: I adopted her from the pound on her last day... yep, the next day she was to be put down. I said she must've had an angel watching over her... hence the name. She's a great dog, but I wish she could learn to keep her mouth shut. She'll bark til you go in with her just so she can hug you.

That's all the dogs... how bout the horses:

Sonya: This is my mare that I got when she was 2... now she's almost 20!!! She's a sorrel quarter horse with a flaxen mane and tail. She's so gorgeous and sweet to boot!

Wildfire: This is Sonya's baby... well, not much of a baby... she's about to turn 13! And she's ALL teenager. She likes to run at you and try to bite... yeah, she's a brat. But a beautiful brat. She looks just like her mama. I named her after the old country song by Michael Martin Murphy about a horse called "Wildfire". I used to listen to that song when I was a kid and always said I would have a horse named Wildfire... so I do.

Well, that's all the living animals... but I have a few I'd like to mention while I'm at it...

Mac: This is my gelding. He just passed away on Feb 10th. We had him for 22 years. He was almost 3 when we got him. I was just a little thing. But he was the horse I rode in Highschool rodeo. He was actually my dad's horse, but he liked me better than he liked my dad.

Maverick: This was my first Rottweiler. I named him after Tom Cruise's character in Top Gun.... I love that movie too. I miss him a lot. He had a stroke last September and passed away on November 2nd. He was a character... he never forgot a face. He knew who he liked and who he didn't. If he didn't... you better stay away from him.

Gypsey: We adopted her about 9 years ago and had her for 8 years. She passed away in October 2005. We don't know how old she was when we got her but we guessed she was about 15 or 16 when she died. She was so gray she didn't even look like a rottie. We gave her that name because she was a wonderer, like the gypsies of the old days. Her owners had moved away and she wondered all the way back to the house she had lived in before. She showed up on the dog groomer's front steps down the street from her old home.

Mason: He was out of one of our litters. My husband kept him cuz he was the biggest puppy of the litter. His name is for my husband's business... he is a brick mason. We really never found out what happened to Mason. We think he had a heart attack or his heart just couldn't keep up with the rest of his body cuz he grew so fast. He was only about 5 months old when he died.

Megan: She was out 2nd rottweiler. We got her after Maverick grew up. We planned to breed them. But when she was about 2 she got poisoned. Our neighbor gave her rat poison. She was a fun dog. but the neighbor didn't like her barking at her yorkies through the fence. I still can't stand the sight of that lady!

Okay... I'll stop now... hehe. If you can't tell... I like talking about my babies!

I have 4 French Bulldogs, named Harley, Lily, Emma, and Tucker, that I show. Harley is 18 months old, Lily is almost 2 years, and Emma and Tucker are both 4 months. I also have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Bernie that is a therapy dog and a Belgian Malinois named Reno that is a rescue (he is just a pet). Bernie is 21 months, and Reno is around 3 years.

I love all of them because they love me back :)

We have a 1 year old Boston Terrier named Mattie and a 2 year old Chocolate Lab named Gunner. I love them both because they both love me unconditionally. I can hold and pet another animal and they don't hold it against me. I can have a bad hair day and they don't judge me. My love for them is also unconditional. They can chew up my favorite pair of shoes and I don't yell at them. They can throw up on my pillow (happened the other night) and I don't get angry, I comfort them. Our dogs are just as much a part of our family as we are. If I had to choose between my husband and my dogs, I would choose my dogs....as would he. Long story short, I just love my dogs!

I have a 4 yr old dog, she's part german shepherd, chow, and who knows what else. Her name is Diesel named after Vin Diesel. And I love her because she is just like a child to me. It's something indescribable.
I would basically try to explain it like this when you have your children there's just a love there, it comes out of nowhere, and it lasts forever. That's why I love my dog, she is my child!! I love her to death!!
