Aww. They want to baby her. They probably think if they take their attention away from her, she'll start messing up, possibly. But they should definitely treat you equally. Let them know your feelings in a mature matter. Let them know it bothers you alot. But keep doing good girl....

Hmm.. well this seems to happen sometimes in family's all over. I hate to tell you this but even if u talk to your parents it might not change. It might just be the way it is. So, for some advice.. Do not change who you are to try to get attention or stick up for yourself to your fam. I know, i was in a similar situation. My mom and dad did everything for my sis.. I was forced to shop at thrift stores for school while my sis had mall shoppin sprees. Anyway, I stayed true to myself, worked hard in school, made great friends, and went on with my life. Now that I'm 25, my whole fam has a good relationship.. but I am more appreciative of things than my sis. It gave me more character. So, talk to your parents, then find time for you.. stay true to yourself. Good Luck

Emily, since time immemorial, siblings have had this argument. It's hard to see things objectively since you are involved and you are mad. Your sister would surely have complaints about you too. Consider that you are at an age where your parents might be concerned about negative friends, drugs, etc., even though you might be innocent of that. They might want to keep stricter controls on you as you are reaching the time you will be separating from them and going your own way as an adult. Try to be understanding. Stay respectful and be patient. It will all work out.

You really need to talk to your parents. This certainly doesn't seem fair. I am the oldest also. I am 35 now, but it was the same with me when I was home. My sister got to do all the things I got to do, even though I was older. In your case, you are not getting to do anything. You need to tell your parents that you are not happy with the situation and they need to explain to you, why they are making the decisions they are making. It will cause resentment between you and your sister, and they need to understand that. Good Luck Sweetie!
