Exactly what is the nature of the distress that the hair caused you and how you were able to quantify that into a legitimate dollar value?

Yes. A company can be 'sued' for nearly any reason. Whether the complaint is legitimate or has a legal basis is a whole 'nother question for Yahoo Answers.
They will defend themselves.
