Baked or broiled skinless chicken breasts are better. Chicken thighs (especially if you eat the skin) are higher in fat and calories because they are dark meat. Stick with white meat of any poultry and stay within the 4 oz. portion size. Good luck with your diet.

Actually chicken thighs are the part of the chicken which is highest in fat. Chicken breasts are the low fat part. Unfortunately I like thighs much more, but that great flavor as well as the more "juicy" texture is from the extra fat.

Actually, breast meat is the least fattening. If the meat is dark, then it is high calorie. Chicken breast, turkey breast and pork are all low fat/low calorie if they are baked and prepared properly otherwise. Removing skin also eliminates much of the fat, too. So, to answer your question--no.

It's fine. Lower calories are in white meat though. Remove the skin before cooking, and bake without added fats, just spices...delicious and low cal! Enjoy.

No, chicken thighs are a dark meat. Your best bet would be a white meat such as boneless skinless chicken breast. Less flavor and better for you. Baking is best, with little or no salt.

Chicken is good for you but I think you would be better off eating the breast meat it is even healthier! And if you want to eat any chicken cook in without the skin it makes it less fattening

You will lose more weight by eating a diet heavier in healthy fat rather than low fat. Fat slows the spike in insulin that occurs when you eat (so does fiber). Too much insulin is what makes you fat. Check out "glycemic index" on google. Also google "coconut oil".

Thighs have more fat as it is dark meat. However baking it is a healthier way to prepare it.

Chicken breast is healthier than thighs but none of its even close to healthy if you dont remove the skin after you cook it. The skin is the killer!
