Not in a general dental office but if you're going to have a procedure done where then have to use general anesthesic then I would say you would probably get weighed.

When they first took all my info down, they asked me a million questions including what medications I was taking, complete health and drug history plus my weight. They just asked and I said "I don't know, about 125". That was all. It was all part of my detailed registration process. It was obvious I needed TONS of work done and multiple visits including the eventual extraction of all 4 wisdom teeth.

The last time I ever weighed a patient was 31 years ago in dental school. I do not admit patients to the hospital, though.

I went to the dentist today, and they didn't weigh me!

The only reason I can think of that they'd weigh you is if they were going to anesthetize you, say, to remove your wisdom teeth.

I have been in the dental field for a while Ive never seen them weigh anyone I dont even think they would have scales.
