Well I don't know how to fix this problem besides going to the doctor. I'm 14 years old and I can't spend the night at anyone's house without wanting to go home later that night. I call my mom and she picks me up. What should I do to fix this? I've tried just having fun but it didn't work. I can't even go to my dad's house but I also want to stay there but I keep getting panic attacks. HELP PLEASE?!

I start feeling homesick in a way and I can't handle it. I try to ignore but bothers me too much? Just want to have a normal life!

I know it is a scary thought talking to a doctor but it can and will help you to feel better!! Thats what they are there for to help you and they do.

Dont push yourself so hard right now for something that your not ready for. Look at the reasons that your feeling the way you do and stop beating yourself up for it. The people that love you and care about you will understand. Just be honest with them and tell them that right now your just more comfortable being in your own bed. good luck.

I was exactly the same way when I was young. I 'd go to a friend's house, convinced that I'd make it through the night, but then as soon as it was time to go to sleep, I'd have to call my mom to come get me. I couldn't even stay at the next-door neighbor's house! Finally, when I was 14 or 15, I managed to sleep at the neighbor's, and after that I was pretty much okay.

However, I still get this separation anxiety sometimes (and I'm quite grown and no longer living with my parents.) Sometimes I visit them, and then when I'm driving away, I get the urge to turn around and go back. It's strange, but I don't think it's a big problem. Some of us are just very attached to our parents.

That said, do talk with your doctor about it if it worries you or is interfering in other activities besides just spending the night away from home. Below is a link with information about separation anxiety. If the descriptions fit you, then perhaps you need a little help with it; however, if your case isn't as bad as this, then reading it may make you feel a little better.

Good luck!

I would certainly suggest a doctor (a naturopath if possible).

If you are serious about eliminating your anxiety in a safe and natural way then the following article is for you:

No worries, go ahead, nothing is for sale;)

Go see a psychiatrist. Your problem should be addressed as early as possible. :)
