how do you tell if a guy wants to be more then friends?

me and this guy have been friends for while, i have feelings for him. how can i tell if he wants to be more so i don't mess our friendship up by asking him?

TALK to him.

Lay out how you feel, what are are scared of losing. Then ASK him how he feels.
