OK, I was at a Sweet 16 last night. This question is about this girl that was there. This is not her name, but just for the purpose of the question, let's call her Jessica. Jessica goes to school with me, but we really didn't know each other. I only talked to her once, and that was about 5 months ago for about 8 minutes when I had to b/c it was for a required assignment in religion class. So I get to the party, and when I see Jessica, who I barely knew, she yells out my name and says hi. Then she says she wants to dance with me later. I was surprised she knew me and wanted to dance. I thought she was just messing around with me. So later, I walk past the dancing section, see her, and just give her one of those “hello” nods. Then I start to walk away. I walked across the entire place, which was huge. I get to where I was heading for, turn around, and there she is. Obviously, she chased me down across the club. She grabbed my hand, and led me all the way back to the dance floor.

We grinded for 2 songs, and she really got into it, grinding her a*s hard against me, holding my hands, and I was holding her hips. When we finished she gave me a hug. On my way out, I saw her again, and she gave me one of those quick kisses on the cheek and a hug. I know that’s just a way of saying goodbye, but for someone I didn’t know until an hour ago, I was surprised. So, does this girl like me, or am I just blowing this way out of proportion?
I'm not dense, I just think its odd that a girl I have never talked to would act like we were best friends, you know. I don't know how girls think. I hope she likes me, but I can't help thinking that it was just a one night thing. I don't know. Unfortunately, I won't know until Monday; I'm off from school this week and I don't have her number, since we barely knew each other.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, b/c I don't want to be disappointed if this turns out to be nothing, which is likely.

But that's real hard b/c I've never had a girlfriend before and I'm kinda hoping that “Jessica" really likes me. You can imagine the crazy stuff going on in my head. Monday can't come soon enough.

Another odd thing: If she liked me so much, why did she wait until now to do something? Is she just an overly-friendlyg girl? My head hurts

And on a sidenote, I could be wrong, but I don't think she was drunk at all.

Thanks for reading, I know I typed a lot :)

she does really like you, but do you really like her? Ask around and make sure that this isn't something that she does to other guys on a regular basis. If not then as her out for dinner or something and enjoy. Life is too short to be unhappy, ask her out after you find out more information about her, then decide on what approach you would like to use. Take care Heather

It doesn't matter if she likes you it matters if you like her. Don't mistake the feeling of being flattered that someone is possibly interested in you with the feeling of liking her on your own. If you had walked into the party and she didn't say anything would you have been interested? Were you interested after the class assignment 5 months ago? Life is too short to sell yourself short. You deserve to spend this kind of energy on someone YOU like.

Well, it did sound like to me maybe she may have been a little drunk or tipsy, she was flirting with you it sounds like though, maybe you can ask her on Monday, if she was just flirting or if she likes you.
