A Creator God is what is needed for a group (no matter how small or large) of people to be considered a religion.
Hinduism: Creator God is Brahma.
Islam: Creator God is Allah.
Christianity: Creator God is Jesus.
Judaism: Creator God is YHWH.
and so on ..... for all the religions, there is a creator God, except for Scientology. In Scientology there is no creator God, but L. Ron
Hubbard by calling Scientology a religion, does not have to pay taxes.
Religions are all tax exempt.
Actually, Buddhism is not really a religion, for it has no creator God. It is actually a philosophy of Life, not a religion. Buddhists are atheists.

not all religions necessarily have a god or a Divine Reality (something like a god, a creating force)... but to have a religion you must have myths and such that would explain the questions of life: how were we made? why are we here? what happens after we die? and etc... you don't necessarily need followers, a good idea though if you want ur religion to prosper. a religion is basically an ordered expression of what you believe.
recognized and accepted by ppl? only if ur ideals make sense and appeal to ppl...

I think overall basic human morals... But I'm not here to answer your question really as to ask you a question. I read your question regarding a micronation & would like to become your minister of defense. What say you? If not, just a citizen of your micronation would be suitable.

Threatening people with eternal torture for not believing is obviously very useful. That's what Christianity and Islam did, and look at how successful they are.

only four things:
active imaginations
blind faith
a group of people
rejection of reason
to be recognized though, all they'd have to do is commit mass genocide or something... host a rally... violently protest against ideas that make them uncomfortable
