I've been trying to recover from anorexia. I am fifteen, five feet one inch, and a few weeks ago, I weighed 80 pounds. Now I weigh 85 because I've been eating more. Today, I was feeling quite happy, so at lunch, I drank a chocolate milk instead of regular (160 calories instead of 100). I wasn't concerned because I thought I'd be able to jump some rope when I got home and burn off the calories, but I got so much work I wasn't able to. Also, for dinner, I ate a tortilla (amongst other things) and when my mom asked if I wanted another one, I said "Sure, I'll take another half". Now I'm killing myself over it; I could have said no and saved myself extra calories. I don't know what I'm doing to myself. Was it good I took the extra half?

it was good dont worry
just leting you know that being underweight is just as bad as being overweight and your no where near overweight so it was good that you took the extra half.

Hey, Muffins. Half a tortilla and the choc in the milk will not make you fat for a long time to come. At 5'1", your healthy weight would still be a lot more than 85 lbs. I am older than you and, when I was younger, I used to hate the fact that I didn't have a skinny "white girl" body (even tho I am white). I always had hips and a butt, no matter how much weight I lost. Well, you know what? There are a lot of folk out there who liked my shape. We don't all have to look like Kate Moss. In fact, if you were to ask a hundred guys what they found most attractive, a lot of them like some curves. Please don't sweat it out over a hundred calories in a day, not from where you are. You have a lot of wiggle room, Muffin. Relax and enjoy life. Please try to accept and be happy with who you are and then you can find someone who likes you for you are and what you have. The rest of them don't count.

If you were my daughter we would be having a party because you ate a little more. Listen, I am 27 years old now I am 5' 1/4" tall and weigh about 118 after 2 children. When I was about 17 I had gotten down to about 105 and thought I looked good. The sad truth is after all this time I look back a pictures and want to cry at how disgustingly thin i was. Stop counting calories. Nourish your body and mind. You are fighting a disease and it is going to be very hard. Just keep asking yourself if being thin is worth an early grave. Keep your head up and I will keep you in my prayers.
