If he is hitting or abusing you I would seek help from a trusted adult as soon as possible.

Anyway if he has just been in a bad mood maybe he is just worried or stressed about job, money, taxes, car, ect. There are so many things in the adult world that can be stressing him out.
Try to talk to your mom first and if she blows you off ask your dad (when he is in a better mood) if there is anything you can do to help.

Jennifer, its a tough world, maybe your Dad"s having a really hard time at work, it could be so many things. Just stay clear and let him figure out what his next move is, he's deffinently upset over something. Don't blame yourself. He will get through this. Give him space.

Why don't you leave him a note, telling him that you love him and you are scared and worried about him. That will give him time to read and understand how you feel and consider how to respond to you. Hopefully it's a misunderstanding and you can work it out. But if he doesn't know how you feel, he can't help you.

How angry are you talking? Is he being abusive? Maybe he's just going through a hard time right now. Is he stressing over anything that you know of?

I am sure every dad LOVE their kids and he does not mean it. Probably he was not in a good mood. Try to understand him. Talk to him in good situation and tell him about his action and what u think about his action.
Wishing the best for you.

Maybe he is just having problems at work or even with your mother. Maybe he is just stressed, about bills. Maybe what he needs is just some space to think. Have you noticed anything strange going around your house? BEST WISHES!!!

Something/someone might be ticking him off. Sit down and have a talk with him. Ask him what's wrong, if he's wants to talk about it. Tell him he can be honest. That's your dad, you should communicate easily....
