hire a private detective to investigate. but ask money from your husband first before you hire one because it could be expensive.

Of course, his "second job" is something bad. Why do you think he conceals it from you?

The reason I think he conceals it from you is... because he can!

It's clear from your post, that you *want* to be deluded, and unfortunately you are not yet ready for the *truth* and here is why I think that:
1. He gets home at 3 AM...and you are satisfied with some vague explanation
2. You believed him about the "landlord" business
3. You constantly defend him: "he swears it's nothing bad", "it's not every day", "he's very smart and has a great salary."

No, you need to wake up and sniff the Starbucks, hon...
There are not a lot of honest jobs that pay in $100 bills, that require staying out til 3AM, that require secretive behavior.

What do I think is going on?
I think a dishonest and seedy person has married a very gullible and silly one.

I don't know you or your husband, but I think you need some help. Something doesn't sound right and if he has to prove that his job is innocent then there's a reason he thinks he needs to defend it. You need to ask him what is going on. If he doesn't answer you straight, hire someone to figure it out.

It sounds like there might be a problem, I would pray that the Lord would shine a bright light on everything that is being done in darkness. Keep praying that until it comes to the light.

repo men work at night...maybe he's doing the books for the mob...maybe he's a secret agent or a gigolo.. Could be many things. What is important is that the two of you sit down and talk earnestly, then spy on him.

you have an interesting situation on your hands. it seems to me that you have three choices. you can either trust and believe his statements. you can also sit him down, and give him one chance to spill out the truth, and if he dont confess, make him feel guilty and giv him hints that you dont believe him. and the other choice, the most dangerous, and maybe rewardering, is that you could spy on him. follow him, ask one of your friends that he dosnt know to do you a favor and spy. get creative. hope it helped

I can see how it would be stressing you out.
I always find out that getting yourself together with prayer, healthy food, exercise and sleep can go along way dealing with stress.
It's then time for him to face the music and do it from your heart.
