I'd say the sea, my skin got kinda itchy when I took a swim in the sea near Lamma island, I don't know what mainland china dumps in the pearl river delta, many people say the sea is dirty especially victoria harbour.
Public restrooms are what I've seen pretty clean, compared to those in mainland, go into any shoppingmall and toilets are mostly clean and seem to be cleaned frequently.
I don't think the smoking ban has any influence on the environment, they can't throw buds on the street cause of the high fine on it. I think the smoking ban is better for the population's health, not the environment.

in case you have by no skill been to Bangkok in the previous you could desire to pass, it isn't the ask your self it was once despite the fact that that is nonetheless a great place to pass to, you will get an remarkable double room in a clean lodge for £30 a nighttime, inspite of the indisputable fact which you will desire to look (working example the Sri Krung a chinese language run lodge beside China city next to the main properly known railway station). There additionally are flop homes youthful travelers use for £5. Hong Kong isn't the crowded exciting city it was once, that could be a touch quiet place now, yet once you like chinese language issues that is great to pass to, you will come across a inexpensive clean unmarried room for £15, a visa to head into China cost £30 whilst i replaced into there approximately 5 years in the past. Singapore calls itself the Switzerland of the East, that's the main costly of the three and that is youthful human beings are very vogue unsleeping, that is clean and risk-free and in case you hunt around you will nonetheless discover an decrease priced ok lodge. yet possibly that's the least exciting of the three, if that is exhilaration you like. the individuals are the friendliest i theory. Why no longer stay in Bangkok for some days then take the practice to Singapore ..? it is a superb journey, takes an afternoon and a a million/2 if I remember, and you will by no skill forget approximately it, and that is inexpensive (do no longer return and forth 0.33 type inspite of the indisputable fact that, I by no skill travelled first in view that's what each and all of the travelers do, pass 2d type 'air con'), or you could take the coach .. solid luck.

The smoking ban doesn't really help the outdoor air quality - in fact now the smokers must go outdoors. The air on the streets tends to hurt my eyes and it smells bad, so I agree the air quality is the worst part of Hong Kong's environment.

The air quality, dirty smelly streets, trash everywhere, disgusting toilets, dead pigs in Chinese restaurants. A typical underdeveloped city. But the last summer I went, it was much cleaner than ten years ago. They are trying to clean up the city.
