It is very possible. I would recommend using a food coloring paste instead of the drops if you want really intense and bright colors. The paste won't thin out the icing as mush as the liquid drops. Also, fold the food coloring in, don't stir. It may take a little longer to mix it up but it won't deflate the icing as much as stiring will. All of this will be easier if you also mix them in a bowl instead of the plastic containers.

It is possible but I would advise you not to use the liquid type food colouring because in order to get the colour you want you'll need end up watering down the whipped cream frosting. If you have paste colour like a Wilton colour they work a lot better and don't change the frosting's consistency.

Sure but go easy and keep addding a drop til you get the color you want. I'd experiement on a dab of whip cream first. If you add liquid coloring,it can make the whip cream too runny-There are powdered colorings on the mkt where ever cake decorating stuff is sold and grocery stores. Have fun!
