Where does wig hair come from, is it dead people or what?

The human hair for extensions etc. is super cheap so they must manafacture it in bulk, how is it that cheap, if it is from people cutting of thier hair?

Good wigs are made from people's hair. People donate or sell their hair when the get a lot cut off. Cheap wigs are made with animal hair, such as horse hair. The really cheap ones are nylon.
