Girl, all I can say is hold your breath for about twenty seconds. It worked for me... it should work for you! Oh and when you do have water, drink it down really fast without taking a breath. That should do it!Luv ya.

Well, a surefire way to get rid of hiccups is a spoonful of peanut butter... but if you're in class and there isn't a pack of peanut butter crackers in your bag, the best way to get rid of them naturally is to focus on your breathing. Hiccups are caused by your diaphragm moving out of sync. Start doing deep breathing exercises, focusing mainly on filling your lungs completely and then expelling them completely. It'll take some time, but it does work eventually.

Honestly, there is no real way to get rid of them. Did you hear about the girl in Florida who has had hiccups for 3 weeks now ?
She still has them. She started having them on Jan 23. And believe it or not she does still have them! She has to skip school they are so bad!

THIS IS A SURE CURE:

Ever notice when you get the hiccups that you "tighten up your muscles" - well, you need to relax your throat and esophagus by focusing on complete relaxation and letting go.

What i usually do (and you dont have to) is put my hand on the top of my throat and slowly move it downward focusing completely on relaxing the muscle. By the time I reach the end of my throat - they are gone.

First timers dont give up! It DOES work but the key is to focus on relaxing everything.

Glad I got the question because not too many realize this.

Keep a hammer with you and everytime you start laughing, smash your fingers. Hiccups can start hurting after awhile, so this smashed finger pain will make you stop thinking about them.

Get a glass of water and bite down on a pencil and pinch your nose and drink the water. Works every time
