Well re-install limewire and see if that does any good.
If still having a problem, check your firewall settings and allow limewire to share files with the internet.
have a good day

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with Vista but the big problem I had with Limewire was where it saved the files. When you first download limewire it asks you where you want to save the stuff. When downloading, we are used to just pressing OK to whatever they ask. Try reinstalling Limewire. When it ask where you want to save stuff, it'll have some weird place to save it you can't seem to find. Instead, type My documents/mymusic and you might have better luck.
Also, a lot of the songs on Limewire you download just don't work. Try downloading some others to make sure.
good luck!

Did you download vista from limewire OR did you install vista on your pc and then try to download from lime wire ? I do believe that the new windows is programed to prevent PEER to PEER file sharing, learn to hack the vista regestry and I am sure you can figure out how to turn off P to P. Pretty thoughtful of someone (bill gates) to prevent others from steeling OS from others-------------------> (IBM)
