This is a question posed to me by a sceptical Cristian, I've simply passed it on for others to give their opinions. My personal beliefs are not suited to answer it because I see the entire book as an inaccurate collection of stories, with a few good rules for living. At least a few people have actually tried to give answers rather than insults, but not as many as one should expect in R/S.

Not so much ignoring as perhaps lack of awareness.

The Scripture you are referring to in Psalm 146: 3 is not talking about the Prince of Peace (note the lack of capitalization) but princes of the earth, mortal man. Men cannot save us or themselves.

Deut. 21: 23 My Bible is worded diff. than yours, mine states: "you must not leave his body on the tree overnight. Be sure to bury him that same day because anyone who is hung on a tree is under God's curse." This is part of Rabbinical, Levitical law not a prophecy referring to Christ. It is in reference to a man found guilty of a capital offense.

In Job, Bildad (one of Job's friends) was calling man a worm, not God. Likewise, David is referring to himself as a worm, not God calling man a worm in Psalm 22:6.

Psalm 55 : 23 is again a prayer of David's who is expressing deep dismay over the treachery of a very close friend. He is crying out to God for judgment against this treachery.

I don't feel any of the Scripture references you've given are prophetic in the sense that they relate to Christ or His mission here on earth.

But, thanks for giving me a chance to dig through my Bible to look them up and be reminded.

Have a great day!

How about reading enough to get the context correct?

The son of man in this instance is not referring to Jesus. It is referring to not allowing yourself to be trusting of humans instead of God.

Regarding being cursed when hung on a tree...

This was considered to be a curse put upon someone at that time. In otherwords, the more you hated the person, the more likely you would hang him on a tree if you had the chance. Under Roman law not all of the criminals were crucified. It was reserved only for the worst of the worst so that person was "cursed"

Re: deceitful men etc. In this particular instance, David was concerned about the deception of a man whom he had called his friend. He was very distraught and was pleading to God to help him get past the hurt. As the Psalm continued, he realized that God himself will take care of those who are deceitful and who have sunk in to the sea of corruption and that it was likely that God would not allow them to live out their normal life span. This does not mean that every person who dies young is deceitful or corrupt. What about the babies who die etc?

If you are trying to put Jesus down...at least read it all okay?

The Son of Man is a worm (Job 25:6, Ps 22:6).

Is our DNA not in the form of a snake? Are our medical symbols not 2 snakes wrapped to represent DNA? Is a worm not of the same species?

Notice ancient egypt came up with the 2 snake symbol for medical, they knew of DNA then. For DNA is the same shape, style, meaning.

Its so easy to take bible verses out of context and use then for your own means. Jesus died at 33 because it was prophesied in the OT. not because of the verse "Deceitful men shall not live out half their days (Ps 55:23)".

Cheers!

Addit
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

Cursed is he who is hung on a tree (Deut 21:23, Gal 3:13).
Do crosses count as trees?

the son of man can refer to many people, not just Christ. It can often refer to people who follow the world not God. The cross it not necessarily a tree. And who says the average age in Christ's time was at least 66. Not all people who die young are sinners. And the time could refer to eternity, not just mortality.

1)No,the verse says 'Do not put your trust in princes,in mortal men, who cannot save.'
2)Referring to convicted criminals, guilty of a capital offense.
3)Referring to humans, who are tainted by sin.Obviously,it's not referring to the virgin birth as mentioned in Isaiah.
4)I fail to see what this has to do with Jesus.Where is it mentioned that righteous men live to 66?

because these and many more are gospel, whereas your collection isnt.

Happy [is he] that [hath] the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope [is] in the LORD his God.
ps.146:5

The LORD openeth [the eyes of] the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous.
The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
ps.146:8-9

But as for me, my prayer [is] unto thee, O LORD, [in] an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
ps.69:13

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Because you have taken them all out of context. Don't you know you are not allowed to take things out of context. The Christians will straighten you out on this one.

Because none of them have anything to do with Jesus, you're taking them out of context and misrepresenting them. That's intellectually dishonest.
