help with inserting pictures on powerpoint?

For my project we have to insert a picture of ourself on a powerpoint slide. I went to insert picture but my picture I guess is too large because I don't even see it except for on the slide layout....the crop option isn't highlighted so I can't crop it..can someone help

quick way: right click on the picture and go to format picture>size and make it smaller

right way: resize the picture because it's using extra memory and will make your slideshow have a huge filesize. check out the free irfanview ( www.irfanview.com ). open the pic in irfanview and hit CTRL+R and resize the image, a good size is 640x480. save it as a new pic and then put it in the powerpoint
