my Dr. increased my Zoloft again. It was 50 mg when I started on it almost a year ago, then it was increased to 100 mg, where it stayed for a long time. It helped immensley with my depression. But then I started feeling more down than up, so it was increased to 150 3 weeks ago, and now I feel just as depressed as I was before I started taking it. What gives?

I think that's what happened to me when I was on the Zoloft. As soon as my dosage was bumped up to 150 mg, I felt like the Zoloft was not working for me anymore. Instead, it just made me felt weird, like my head felt weird and I couldn't focus or concentrate well. And I just didn't like the way it made me feel so I quit taking it.

Definitely talk to your doctor about this. Maybe it is time to try a different medication.

Are you additionally seeing a good counselor to discuss what is causing your depression and begin to work on your coping skills? If not, you are not doing this correctly. Is this doctor a psychiatrist? If not, you need a professional diagnosing you and counseling you that is versed in this.

A pill does not solve the problem. They are only meant for those who are suicidal or with certain mental health disorders. They are not for long term use either. You need to take control of your life and get to someone who knows what the heck they are doing.

It appears like the a hundred and fifty mg is only too severe of a dose for you. How did you experience once you have been on a hundred mg? in case you felt happy with that dose, it must be what you want. solid luck with the scientific professional :-) .

Tell your doctor right away that this med is no longer working for you and he will work on finding a med that will make you feel better. Sounds like your body is not responding to it anymore.Call your doctor, and try something else right away!
