Your friend is being selfish and self-centered.If you dump the boy you like for her,you are only showing her that you can be manipulated and that she can make the decisions for you, opening you up for more trouble in the future for you. Lose the girl,if she's treating you this way she's not a real friend.Be happy with the boy and you'll make better friends anyway. Don't lose your self respect for this girl and be your own person.

First of all, if she make fun of you all the time, and you are forced to be her friend so she won't hurt you. She was never a real friend to begin with. You say she back stabbed you many times, so I would say stop being her friend, as far as being made fun of ignore it, or just brush it off cooly as if it doesn't matter to you at all, then maybe she will become tired of picking on you and stop. Usually when you turn your attention to a bully they feed off it and bully you even more, show her she has no power over you. Date this guy, be happy and get rid of this girl.

First of all if this friend really is important to you...even if she did some stupid things to you, than i think you should maybe schedule up with her and talk...give her a note saying to meet you somewhere alone...say you want to talk to her in private or anything you can think of. Than just tell her how you feel, taht you liked being with her and that you really really like this boy because he makes you smile and happy and eveything a girl probably likes in a guy. This would probably soften her up and just finish it by saying i really want our friendsip not to end so if you really are troubled by me goin out iwth him i can stop because friends comes first. Now like 99% of people would say ok and make up and she would feel some sympathy..empathy? what ever of those two and than i think she would probably do what a real friend does and apologize and make up. Dont forget to say sorry though!

Well, as a general rule...you don't date a friend's ex, but if this girl isn't really your friend and you're only being nice to her so she doesn't pick on you...ignore her! Don't let her tell you who you can, or can not date!

If she was a REAL friend, and tried to tell you who to date (not her ex)...you still shouldn't let her choose your boyfriends.

Your 'friend' seems like a loser....you think if you let this guy go she will stop being mean to you? its still going to happen!

let go of her and the friends who tease you with her.....go out with him and find some more new friends who are TRUE friends not just by name!!!

good luck

It depends on how you think things will turn out.

If you can deal with it, and you really want it then you should date him, but if you think that the relationship will cause too much unnecessary tension in your friendship then you shouldn't.

It's all about what matters most.

Forget your friend. Choose if you want a cute bf who likes u or a backstabbing friend who makes fun of you

If you like him, go out with him, its not up to your friend she doesnt control you. and why would her and her 'crew' make fun of you everyday? Shes obviously jealous that you like him and get a long with him. shes not friend if shes backstabbed u..go out with him and forget her. u can make more better friends.

Sounds like a case of priorities: which is more important to you, the boy (who probably won't be around for *too,* too long) or your girls (who aren't your true friends at all if they would stoop to cutting you down because you dated one of their exes).
