This is bit of a funny situation, me and my ex have been split up for a bit over 2 years, and i have now got another partner, but there will always be a place in my heart for him, and about 6 months ago we sort of got back together for a while but then i got back with my current b/f and then only one month ago my ex told me that he misses me (his current g/f found this message and went off) and since then he hardly talks to me, and then just the other day he was really cold towards me, but i havent actually done anything to him it was all him. And he's being really nasty towards me and wont talk to me anymore, but i think of him as a good friend and i still want to remain good friends... do you think he still likes me and thats why he's being awful or does he just not like me at all?

I have asked but he wont tell me, he says he doesnt have to explain himself to me, which i understand but he doesnt need to be cold about it. If he wants me out of his life completely it'd just be nice if he'd tell me not completely shut me out.

It would be in your best interest to leave him alone. Many guys go through the stage where they think of their ex when they are involved but yet it doesn't mean they want to get back together. Let things be & try to build on your existing relationship.

His current girlfriend was right to chew him out. He had no business text messaging you.
If both of yall consider yallselves moving on, you both need to start acting like it. If he wants to remain friends, that's fine, but yall gotta play it smart. If he wants to cut you off, he has that right too. There is no rule that says one should stay in touch with his/her ex nor be friends with the ex.
Frankly, I think you haven't moved on because you're still wondering if he still likes you. Don't cross that line.

seems you yourself are very much confused. Probably, you are not too happy with your present b/f and so trying to make comparisons,unconsciously.However, since now your ex- is not giving you a lift anymore you are badly stuck with the present one and you are trying to rationalise your present situation.My sincere advice to you is : leave your ex alone by forgetting him and carry on with your present life, nevertheless, Reality Vs Fantasy
