Mainstream society is accepting Wicca more and more as public awareness and education spreads. However, I doubt it will ever qualify as a major mainstream religion, for a couple of reasons:
1) Wiccans generally don't prosyletize, so we don't "get the word out there" and sell our religion the way some other faiths do; and
2) Wicca is not suited to everybody. It's a path that, at least in its more traditional aspects, requires a lot of hard work and dedication -- each Wiccan functions as a priest/tess, and that's just not something that the majority of people are cut out to be.
I hope that was immediate enough for you.

Much of society has already accepted Wicca as an organized religion. The government has. There are still many who do not, but give them time. They, too, will accept that Wicca is a real religion. It may take a hundred years or more, but it will happen.

I think it will one day in the semi-distant future. Look how long it took that widow to get a pentacle on her husband's military grave. If she can do that, there's always hope.
On the other hand, Wicca and other pagan religions will always be equated with Satanism or "devil worshipping". The fault in this lies with the Spanish Inquisition. (insert Monty Python jokes here) Ever since then, and possibly before with the overtaking of the British Isles by recently converted Roman soldiers during the 400's A.D., Wiccans and pagans have been on the hit list.
For the record, real Satanism has absolutely nothing to do with magick, witchcraft, or being skyclad. Actual Satanists believe in pleasure for pleasure's sake and getting what they want in whatever manner possible. They're the only truly bad(evil) religion, because it's based on selfishness and wanton hedonism instead of aspiring to be or do good....or an acceptable level of neutrality.

Statistics show that Wicca is the fastest growing religion in the US and the forth fastest in the world. Christianity is Wicca's largest opponent to spiritual freedom. It's been estimated that by the year 2042, Christianity will no longer be the majority religion. Therefore, Wiccans, will be respected one day once the Christians are no longer in control.

Do you mean society at large, or your immediate "society"?
The society at large does accept Wicca. Usually it's the "family & friends" society that has a harder time. And they do get over it eventually as long as you don't tell them about going "skyclad". lol

Sure, Wicca seems to be accepted by lots of people on this forum. It's always possible that Wicca could go mainstream. I don't think it's it very desirable though because Wicca is superstitious nonsense.

Accept what? A bunch of phoneys trying to cast spells? Might as well accept Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny.
