I am so sick of seeing these questions about the Bible that are so full of ignorance. Do you wish that they (the ignorant) would stop asking stupid questions and read the Bible for themselves? I sure do.

Okay. Bryton100, Poohcat1, you guys are right. I shouldv'e put instead of Biblical ignorance put, "questions that contradict Christ's teachings." I am sorry for any confusion that I caused.

No, its our job, as servants of the Lord, to help educate people and serve as witnesses, we are not to leave our fellow brothers and sisters just because it takes them a while to open thier eyes.

I'm sure people feel that way about many belief systems, or even science.
I'm often surprised how often Christians don't actually read the Bible! I've read it three and half times (including a copy of it that was kept intact and unchanged since the Fourth Century A.D.), and I'm not even religious!

I encourage everyone to read one of the most important texts to Western culture, and thus affecting the whole world in its influence. Read all of it, without judgement, with an open mind, first with acceptance, like you would with a novel, then analysis, as you would a textbook.

Be critical. But understand it first.

Even for opponents of Christianity, in their quest to enlighten mankind in their own way, should "know their enemy", if you will.

Educate yourselves, everyone.
Keep speaking up!

I have this feeling that this question is only going to cause more division in an already unfriendly environment here. But I wish that more people would put the Bible into context instead of just reading a few verses to base their arguments on. Too often, verses are taken out of context because of this narrow view.

No I am not sick of them providing they are asking a question because they really want to know. I am however sick of them asking questions for the express purpose of challenging my beliefs.
At least answering someone who really wants to know might do some good. When I was a fledgling Christian I did not read the Bible much either and was very ignorant of what it said. Reading the Bible is something we have to have the desire to do and that comes only after one already comes to believe. The Bible will not convince anyone of anything. That is why quoting it to atheists does no good.

I think some of the questions are due to so many interpretations of the Bible. I've read the Bible and studied it, but even on a Sunday morning if I watch a religious program, they are explaining something in a totally different way than what another preacher said or even my preacher.

I welcome any opportunity to spread God's Word to anyone who has a question "stupid" or not.

You call yourself a Christian but yet you don't want to help anyone with the bible - wow! I would think that you'd be happy to answer biblical questions. I don't mind answering their questions.

I do too. I don't understand how some people can ask such sick questions about the Bible. If someone is a new Christian and has honest questions, you can forgive them for "ignorance" as we were all newbies at one time.

Absolutely! A lot of people do not fully understand the bible and take a lot of verses out of context without cross referencing. You can not take the bible literally,' you need to seek insight from the Holy Spirit. You need to study your bible.

Cheers!

your question has put more gasoline on the fire. this is a religious vs. non religious answers points ping pong game. you will get the people that agree and others that will disagree. free thought is welcome and ignorance is bliss. keep up on your readings and own your beliefs because you will definitely be tested.
