The computers at my school show the user name in the menu bar. How can I get my computer to do that?

Hello (insert brilliant name here),

To have your name up in the top-right corner, you will have to add a new account to your Macintosh. You launch your System Preferences...

Under the System heading, you click on the Accounts icon. On the left side of the Accounts window there's a list of Accounts for your computer. Click on the Plus (+) button to add an account to the list and put what ever you want, or this might be the place where you can put your user name, if it doesn't already have it. You may need to put other passwords and other information in.

Since there are now separate accounts on your Mac, it will put a name up at the top right so that you know who's account you are in. Best of luck to you.
