Well it's not a surprise. I would just continue holding hand.
If both parties just meet and wanted to tryout if there is a chance or not in these kind of dating or relationship. It does not hurt at all to try holding hands to see if there is any connection from it.
To some people, it is just their social way or use to it attitude when going out needed to hold hand.

That really depends. How old are you? I don't want to dole out information to a 13 year old something really perverse. If you're 13 or 14, basically, what's happening is her hand is cold. Sometimes when it gets really cold, girls just do that and you shouldn't think of that as anything otherwise. Now stop reading if you're 13 or 14.
Now if you're a 20+ something year old guy and this broad is hot as hell then she's interested in you. You've got her on the hook and you gotta pull her in. Don't be a dou*hebag and be all weird about it but don't totally not acknowledge it either. What you want to do is smile, hold her hand and just bring her closer. When the time is right, look her in the eyes and then lick her in the eye - no, I'm kidding, you know, you'll know when you know, she'll want some lip action and you just give it to her. From the sound of it, it seems like you really have very little experience, of course, you could be like 12 or something and I'm just an idiot.
Good luck buddy...!!!! If she's ugly, then run like hell.
