try something from the USO or Red Cross. Both of those organizations were very involved with service members and used women as volunteers.
By the way, the B-17 was the one built during WWII in large numbers. The B-52 wasn't entered into service until 1954.

The most famous image of women in WWII is Rosie the Riveter. With the able-bodied men at war, women took over factory jobs, including manufacturing military equipment.
Women were also trained for the first time as military pilots (WASP).
And of course there were plenty of women nurses.

while there men were at war woman used to do everything the men did when at home.a good one is they had woman playing baseball,as there were no mens league.draw a lady with a baseball bat on a rounder.get a dvd out called a league of their own about this very subject.a good family movie.get the movie today do your drawing after watching it,with an explanation.hope this helps.

look up Rosie the Rivetter in google. Maybe he could draw a picture of a B-52. Most where built by women during that war.
