If the person talks to her friend, have your person ask the friend if she can find out if the girl is interested. If the person talks to her, have the person ask her what she thinks of you. . .then if it's good to tell her you like her.

If you are really extremely shy about doing this, then I suggest that maybe you get a friend to maybe talk to her and let her know that you really want to ask her out but you are too shy. But make sure the friend does it in a way that doesn't make it seem like you put the friend up to it. Like, the friend could just say that he/she is only trying to let her know this because he/she knows that you will simply be too shy too ask. Then your friend could ask if she is interested in you at all and they only want to know so that they could confidently encourage you to go ahead and ask her. Does that make sense??? Hope so.
