I just read an article written by a guy named David Zinczenko (don't ask - I don't know who he is). He says that nearly all men cower before beauty and it makes them do stupid things. What is he talking about? If this is true how do you explain that somebody like Brooke Shields and Nicole Kidman and Marcia Cross who are happily married women - and very beautiful?

Depends on the guy and his confidence level. All men are different, but I think sometimes the attractive women men don't ask out as much because men think that they are not available or that the girl would not go out with them. Also, attractive women probably get tired of men just looking at their beauty and wanting to sleep with them. They probably have a hard time finding men who want to be with them because of their personality. Being beautiful has it's downfalls too.

a lot of men are. women are so built up in their head to the point of mythical proportion. it is like they almost forget they are just people. that is because, and you probably already know this, women possess the holy grail. it is that ceartin something. men think they have to be a hero and a bad boy and rich all at the same time to impress a beautiful woman. men are programmed almost from birth with the images of what beauty is. they see it as perfection that they want to touch. that is part of the problem. when you get to know a person, the fantasy goes away. most times men won't get to that point because they are afraid of themselves not being perfect enough.
some men are quite the opposite. they feel as if they are the beautiful, perfect one. that the woman should be intimidated by them not the other way around. think we all know at least one guy like this. maybe if you got underneath it all that is just a way to deal with the feelings of inadequacy.
to answer how women like that married. not all men are like that. some men understand that no matter how beautiful a woman is she is still just a person underneath it all. a person with hopes, fears, wants and needs just like them. if they can fulfill those needs no need to feel int imitated.

Brooke Shields and Marcia Cross are not that breathtakingly beautiful and Nicole Kidman may be hot, but certainly does not take away my breathe. That being said, I have to sadly affirm, yes, a great many guys are intimidated by a strikingly beautiful woman like Krista Allen and do stupid things in their presence. Not all guys look like Brad Pitt and so believe someone who looks like Krista would not accept them.

Not all men cower, and it doesn't mean they run; however, most men really are intimidated by truly beautiful women, so we tend to do stupid things. For some reason most of us are just an insecure if not more than s when it comes do dating and approaching people.
