The nearly 2 year old black and white great dane I have is... well, even the breeders in this area tend to gape at him. He's spectacular. And he's got a wonderful personality.

I'd love to show him. Nothing extremely high up (his tail was broken as a pup and it healed a bit crooked-I'm honestly not sure he can even be shown because of it) but just for a bit of fun. He'll be getting into agility soon-ish.

There are many kinds of shows for dogs. Not just best in breed. His tail shouldn't make that much of a difference. Were not talking about Westminster here.
Find some local shows. Some times at fairs, or local pet stores have them. Also check on AKC. org they have a list of shows for armatures. Call your local Great Dane club and ask them what shows they will be sponcering.
Start at the lower levels and work your self up. Oh yes, don't take any heart to what others say about your dog. Just remember you love him and that's all that matters.
Have fun!!!! Best of luck :)
P.S. Danes are not built for agility so please don't do that.

With a blemish like his tail it would be hard for you to show. Honestly, you would most likely waste your money. However, it certainly would not hurt for you to go and have some fun! Agility would be a great thing for you to do.

Good luck and have fun.
