Standard procedure when we raided a suspected drug lab was swat in first shoot any dog they fell is a threat, no question asked.

It your talking about killing a drug dealers dog, no it's not a form of terrorism. These drug dealers and meth labs have violent dogs to protect what they have. The dogs (some pitbulls) are a danger to the police. I personally have spoken with an officer who had a pitbull (from a meth lab) chew on his patrol car tires. It took several shots to bring the animal down. So, if you are talking about drug dealers dogs, no, they have every right to shoot a violent dog. Even someone that doesn't do drugs. If an officer feels his life is in danger, then he should be able to use such force. If owners are not responsible enough to keep their pets (especially violent ones) contained in some shape or form when ANYONE approaches it just simply negligent. We have a neighborhood dog that roams around terrorizing the neighborhood. We live out of the city limits with no animal control. So, as soon as someone gets a shot, that dog will be non existent. Owners have to be responsible and if they aren't they are putting not only police officers at risk but everyone else.

Having a dog that will attack others could be considered terrorism. I've been attacked by a rott - one that was abused by it's owner.

Aren't those "pet" pit bulls and rottweilers there to bite the cops? If so the cops are just defending themselves. Too bad they can't...well never mind.
