OOOOOOHHHHH, I love this question. Here are some suggestions. First, what is an interest they both have, for instance, they love biking. He could do something with a theme with bikes in it.

I once saw a guy rent a horse, knights suit of armour and showed up on his girlfriends door step. What a kick!

Or get a person who does skywriting in a plane to write the proposal in the sky. He could take her out for a picnic and then tell her to look up.

Take her out to a really great restaurant and ask the waiter to put the ring (in box) on a plate and serve it to her. My ex did that when he gave me an anniversary present, it was a nice surprise and people in the restaurant got a kick out of it too.

It needs to be heart-felt, original and means something to both of them. Whatever he does, he needs to get down on that knee!!! Tell us what he decides to do.

Box it up-maybe in the bottom of a candy box. Or a day that ends up in a restaurant with music or a sportsgame with a light up scoreboard he could message her with. It must be something special to her-depending on what she likes. Very traditonal on one knee always works too! A balloon ride? A carrige ride? Something where they are reasonably alone and its different and romantic for them both. Doesn't have to be expensive....congrats to him!

I think that he should take her to dinner at her favorite restraunt. At this restraunt have a private room with flowers and their families waiting there for them. Then they have some music playing and dinner and everything. Then a little after dinner started then get on one knee and ask her. That way her and his family will be all there.

What about a scavenger hunt? Give her hints to places that have meaning for them--where they had their first kiss, where they had their first date, where he first told her he loved her--have someone at each place who means something to her (mom, dad, best friend, sibling...) with a flower and a clue to go to the next place. At the last place (her favorite restaurant?) have her parents & his parents there (& their siblings if they're close with them) and he should be there, down on one knee with the ring, ready to ask her to marry him!

take her to the place where you first met, even if it is in a coffee shop or in the street. Then make it really romantic, like when she walks in her favorite song plays and flowers are everywhere, then go down on one knee and ask her

I'm glad my husband did what he did. He just asked me when I was over at his apartment watching a movie. It was wonderful!
