Steam, as in a hot bath or shower should help. Drinking Chamomile tea, eating good home made chicken soup. If this goes on for more than a couple of days, she should see a doctor, it may be an ear infection and she'll need medicine.

A home remedy means DRUG-FREE. You can use the simplest and it's quite effective as well.

Try a saline nasal RINSE (not a spray) A full warm water saline rinse goes in one nostril and out the other. It draws out all the gunk and shrinks the tissue (like swimming in the ocean).
The buffered salt doesn't 'sting' as much as plain salt water. You can use a new method like Nasopure, or the vintage, Netipot

You can do this a often as you like with no side effects.

You don’t need a prescription for this therapy. If you live in a state like mine, they’ve pretty much “outlawed” sudafed medicine. Drug-free is really the way to go on a frequent-use basis.

Gargle with warm salt water, she can get some relief by sniffing ocean water (they sell most everywhere) or she can boil salt in water, let it cool, kinda sniff the salt water a few times. It will give her temporary relief. It burns alittle, after a couple of sniffs there is No pain.
She should go to her doctor, if she has congestion that bad she's likely got an infection.
Sometimes ur ears stop up no matter, then you can take 1 part white vinegar, 1 part rubbing
alcohol, drop it in ur ears. It cleans them out.
Good Luck

try ear candling. It will relieve the pressure in her ears and sinuses. Very easy to do, just go to a health food store and ask. They will help you!

Good luck!
