I have a receipe for "honey nut chicken sticks" (from Rachael Ray's 365 cookbook). It calls for honey nut corn flakes. Kellogg's used to make them but are not discontinued. Does anyone have any ideas for alternatives for this ingredient or know of another brand that makes something equivilant?

They have the generic brands that are like honey nut corn flakes(the ones in the bags and not the boxes)..... there's also the Honey Bunches of Oats with almonds, but you may want to pick out the clusters of oats and it may be a little sweeter and a little crunchier)

I'm assuming this is to bread the chicken with? I would use regular corn flaks, grind some almonds in a coffee grinder, and then lightly squeeze some honey on the chicken after breading it.

Sounds good whatever it is!

Try Honey Bunches of Oats. Actually, any honey nut flakes should work fine. Check out some of the house store brands and see if you can find something compariable. Good luck. (BTW: for my chicken, I simply use kellogg crushed corn flake crumbs and add a bit of sugar to it. It's my 'secret ingredient' for my fabulous chicken/ chicken sticks. )

Frosted flakes (Tony The Tiger), taste exactly the same I swear. Regular cornflakes work great for breading also, just coat the chicken in honey B4 you bread it.
