This girl i know keeps a bottle of opened baby oil by her hair straightener, does anyone know what she does with this??? Her hair always looks so good can you tell me what this is used for, I am too embaressed to ask.

maybe she puts a small amount on her hair to make it sleek and shiny it will not get oily it will protect it from heat damage and it will also look really good

I'd lay odds she does not use it on her hair if she is a Caucasian. It may be just coincidental placement in the room. Afterall, it is probably by a mirror and she uses it to take off her makeup. VO5 conditioner (in a tube) is an oily paste that squeezes out like toothpaste. People use it on their hair to control fly-a-ways and makes it less dry so she could be using the baby oil like that but I'd bet on the makeup removal.
She may use it on her hair if she has ethnic hair after she straightens it but before the straightener would just cook and burn the heck out of it. Afterwards may work like a smoother...

Personally i wouldn't use baby oil but i wouldn't say it would do any harm - just don't apply it directly to the roots as that's what will make it greasy.....Serum will make your hair shiny and smooth. If your hair is very dry use a hot oil treatment!

Heavens no! Baby oil DOES make a girls hair greasy! Also, it flattens it out (who wants that?) The only people I can think of that actually would use baby oil is african americans, because their hair is rather dried out. Try it on a day that you're not going out. I proimse. ur hair will be greased. & it wont feel so great either!

It look good at the begining, but the baby oil will finish damaging the hair drying it and spliting the ends, even fade away you natural color.

i know someone who wears a wrap she wraps her hair at night
she rubs baby oil on it to wrap it and her hair looks really nice

It might be used to flatten it alittle bit so it doesn't stand up
but not to STRAITEN she might just use a flat iron for that

most girls use it to make their hair look shiny and keep those little hairs from coming up... but i never use it because it can be bad for your hair and make it look greasy

It could just be to add a little gloss with the heat...if there is doubt...DON'T ASK !!!...unless you really NEED to know.
