I say play it safe, go to the vet. It may heal but it might become infected or something.

If it is deep then u should go to the vet then u should get some powder that u can put on ur dogs tail it should soak up the blood then the tail should heal.

Ouch that must hurt. How deep was the wound? if its very deep or bleeding a lot you need to get him to a vet to get stitches. Naturally skin heals itself. but sometimes at the end of the tail if its a scrape i might scar. I wish the best for you and your dog!

It should. If it looks bad you can clean and bandage if for him. If it looks really bad take him to the vet and let them decide what to do. If it's minor and you decide to let heal on his own, keep an eye on the cut to make sure it doesn't get dirty or infected.
