how good of an airline is korean air?

when flying from the US to korea...is it any good? ive flown there flying united and singapore airlines. singapore airlines is the BEST carrier i ever flown on.

just wondering if kal is good.

like u really can bring a parachute on a plane nowadays, retard.

i was asking about the quality of the flight...keep it at that.

First, my wife is Korean. Now, I've flown KA many, many times over thirty-five years, up to last month. Trans-Pacific flights on KA are OK (better than in-country or to China), but cabin crew members seem to be less polite than on some other carriers (I also don't like United, for the same reason). Last month, I flew from Shanghai to Inchon and back on KA; I was not impressed with the quality of their service or food. Asiana is much better. NWA does not fly directly to Korea (you have to transit in Tokyo), but I like NWA. I agree that Signapore is one of the very best airlines, anywhere.

Your choices from the US to Korea include KA, Asiana, NWA, United, American, and a number of code-shares. I would suggest Asiana or NWA.

Well... in terms of food, I really like Korean Air food. Considering airplane food, it's the best food I've had on an airplane. The stewardesses/stewards are quite pleasant as well.

The only drawback to my information is that I haven't been on KAL in about 3-4 years, so my information isn't as up to date.

I definitely wouldn't recommend Northwest Airlines as your carrier. Food just sucks, it's pretty stale compared to other airlines. The in flight movie also doesn't change much, last year I had to fly back from Korea and watch Pride and prejudice three times... in a row...

had a bad experience w/ korean air....
i got the korean air for stop over to Japan on my way to Las vegas...
OH no....you would imagine being in a 911 incident...the sound of the engine, as if the plane is breaking apart...
worst experience ever, same experience with my partner then.... terrible...not recommended...
if you think other airlines fit you better and make you feel comfy, stick with it, dont try KAL, never, trust me, we're talking about safety here....others maybe safe on their trips, they just toss a risk out of their hand, but you were asking, and im giving my opinion basing on OUR experience, so just basically consider this... there's nothing wrong if you believe or not...but then, im telling you DO NOT CONSIDER KAL as your tour plane... NEVER!
