mix lemon juice and honey in a spoon and take it. For some reason it always helps me.

It could be allergies, but more likely it's strep or tonsilitius. You really need some antibiotics. Do you have a quick clinic anywhere around? Or do you know a local hospital where you could check and see if there is a huge line at the er? (i know that's annoying to have to sit there, but it will help). A doctor can give you not only antibiotics but pain meds, too. Something you can do to soothe your throat for now: tea with honey. You may not like hot tea, but trust me, it helps. Talk as little as possible and gargle with warm salt water (again, gross, but it helps). Also, sometimes sucking on lemons will help. Hope you feel better!

Sore throat is usually due to a viral infection. Gargling with warm salty water or mouthwash can reduce the pain and inconvenience. You can find some good home remedies at http://ailments.in/sorethroat.html

Frack all the natural remedies go to the chemist and ask for a spray ie: difflam etc which can be sprayed into the throat via a tube to numb the affected area. Sounds strange but works flat out

just gargle with lukewarm water and add salt...do it 3x a day....
and always remember to drink a lot of water after taking some sweets...especially candies....it can cause bacteria to grow faster and it gives way for sore throat to arise..and fever will sense that there is an infection in your body....it's always fever the first sign of infection...take care and drink at least 1 liter of H20 per day....

Gargle with hydrogen peroxide and water 50/50. It kills the germs and it always makes my sore throat fell better. My 9th grade science teacher taught us that.

I suffer from soar throats alot, I can't recall anything that trully works, but nice icecream is probably the best thing to sooth in my experience.
I've just bought a new scarf too, to try and keep my neck warm, avoidance is better then a cure I think.

I would take some advil for the pain and fever. Then I would take chloraseptic spray for the pain. And you should definitely go to the doctor.
