First lets clear up some of the other posts, you do not need any supplements or weight gain powders, nor is fat ever converted to muscle. You can lose fat and gain muscle, but they do not change into one another.

You need to engage in resistance training activities, i.e. lifting weights. This stimulates muscle growth. You want to minimize or decrease your cardio workouts. In order to gain weight you need to be in a positive caloric intake meaning that you need to take in more than you expend. Eat 4-6 small meals a day, and eat complete protein sources like chicken, fish, egg whites, etc.
