I just went to a 2nd marriage that was held at a campground...and it was by far the most fun and most beautiful I have been to in a long time. Reason? They got married out on an island on the lake. The reception was help in the main lodge. There were camp sites and cabins available for guests. So the wedding basically broke down into three parts: The formal ceremony and cake cutting with a high noon tea feel to it. The dinner in the hall completely decorated in white wedding bells with dancing, announcements the toast....then about 9 pm everyone got comfortable and went outside for a giant bonfire....It was a wonder relaxing evening and they got fantastic pictures. They were also able to include their kids and their adult siblings kids because there was room outside and places for them to run. The point is, anything but Saturday is always cheaper....get an idea of how many people you want to include...that will be the biggest factor...then think about your interests.....whatever you do, have fun and God Bless

I say try a nice winter or summer wedding, something that shows what the two of you feeling about each other. Since this will be your second marriage sometimes making it different from the first always building a memory, but I think a nice summer wedding near a lake or something would be beautiful

I don't know where you live, but a beach wedding is nice. Very informal, but beautiful at the same time. You can get some amazing pictures at the beach too if you have the right photographer. You could wear a simple off white dress, and he could wear a nice pale blue top and khakis. If I ever got remarried, it would be at the beach. It's naturally beautiful and compliments the beautiful bride. Good luck and congrats!

May seems like a good month to me. As for a theme, my older sister had a Cinderella themed wedding, complete with little plastic "glass" slippers for party favors, and a horse drawn carriage for the ride to and from the church and reception hall.

I think that an ocean theme would be fun. Either that, or music. Perhaps a theme from your favorite decade?

My friend got married in a park at the waterfalls. It was very beautiful. Every one dressed in lacey old-fashioned dresses and made nature very much a part of the wedding. It was followed by an enormous picnic at her parent's house - very casual and a very good time.
