In most schools, a physical is good for up to one year-so if you got one before the start of a fall sport, say volleyball, it would be good for any sports you do for the rest of the school year-you'd get another one the next summer, before the next season of volleyball starts again.

When you go to a doctor for a physical it takes 15 minutes at the most but you wont have to get another physical for a year.
