what would i do if i had split ends, and my appoinment is in a few days and they are really really really bad,,,,, what should i do about them until the time comes to cut them off?

The condition known as split ends, technically known as trichoptilosis, occurs when the hair has been stressed too much and the stress frays the ends of the hairstrand. Common causes of trichoptilosis include damage from heat styling, bleaching, coloring, and use of inferior haircare products. Although some products claim to repair split ends, this just isn't true. The only way to get rid of split ends is to cut them off.

A few days is not really going to make that big a difference, but if you want to you can deep condition your hair and be very careful when combing it out. Keep direct intense heat off of it. Always start at the ends of the hair and work your way up using a wide tooth comb or pick, large toothed vent brushes are okay too.

Leave until the time comes as you really mess up your hair if you cut them yourself

just leave them...because, it would be a lot less imbarssing to have split ends then if you had un-straight hair!
